In pursuance of the Peculation of Elections Act,lßßl,l, JAMES AMES,Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Foxton, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 9th day of November, 1881, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a member for the said electoral district ; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Courthouse, Foxton, at noon on the 2nd day of December, 1831, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 9th day of December, 1881. The Sections in Block 111., Waimate, are about two miles inland of the Town of Manaia, about half being open grass lands, the remainder light bush with clearings.
