WITHOUT RESERVE, Auctioneer’s Note.— The above sections to be offered to the Wanganui public are within a short distance from the Stratford railway station, tenders for which have been accepted by the Government, and the line will be open in a few months. Stratford will be the junction of the Waitara-Wanganui and Auckland railway, and it is also expected that the line running through the Waimate Plains will join the main line at Stratford. About £20,000 is voted for expenditure on the Mountain-road and branch roads, and will therefore open up some of the finest country in the provincial district of Taranaki (the garden of New Zealand).
