A telegram states that the Loch Luuart on her return voyage to Melbourne was wrecked on the coast of Belfast, Ireland. Pearce sailed on board.

A telegram from the Underwriters' Association reports that the Loch Lunart, from Glasgow to Melbourne, was wrecked off the coast of Ireland. It will be remembered that Tom Pearce shipped Home in this vessel.
