The Wellington City Rifles and Wellington Rifle Cadets will parade at the Central Eire Brigade Station, for Monthly Inspection, on THIS DAY (MONDAY), 13th INST., at 7.30 p.m. W. G. STACK, Major Commanding Wellington District. Education The education board of the DISTRICT OR WELLINGTON. PUBLIC NOTICE. GOVERNMENT GRANT IN AID OF LIBRARIES. The Education Board having heenentrusted by the Government with the distribution of the Library Grant for the current year, in terms of the Public Libraries Act, 1877, request the secretaries of all public libraries to send in a claim for their share of the grant. Payments will be made in proportion to the amount of voluntary subscriptions received for the year ended 31st December last, and exclusive of subscriptions in respect of which any portion of last year’s grant was paid. JHClaims, supported by a statement of the amount of subscriptions received, must be forwarded to this office not later than the last day of February next. All libraries supported by voluntary subscriptions not included within boroughs are entitled to a portion of the grant, and all libraries within boroughs are so entitled, providing the reading rooms are free.
