RIFLE SHOOTING.
The series of matches.between the carbine and rifle of Wellington- in the Colonial- Prize-firing was concluded on Saturday morning. The following is the^result of yesterday morning's firing;—Carbines;. The conditions under which the ixuatches were fired were as follow : —Distances, 200,, 300, 400, and 500 yards (’five shots at each range. Size of target at two first distances, 6 x, 4,2 ft. centre, and, Sin. bull’s-eye; and at the two latter, 6. x 6,4 ft. centre, and 2ft. bull’s-eye.
