At a meeting of the Interprovinoial Cricket Committee last night, a letter was read from Otago, stating that,, owing to the anticipated visit of the All England Eleven, the Otago cricketers did not think it desirable to play the usual annual match this year; but the secretary was instructed to write objecting to this, and pointing out that Canterbury did not attempt to avoid sending a team to Dunedin when the English Eleven visited this colony in 1865.
