The American barque Eureka cleared yesterday for Enderbury Island in ballast, and is now lying at the lower anchorage. The schooner Colleen Bawn is also in harbor, as is H.M.S, Blanche. TO THE EDITOR. ’ Sir, —In looking over the shipping columns of the New Zealand Times of the ISth instant, I find a statement to the effect that the Pilot boarded the AVeymouth outside the Heads. I beg to contradict this flatly, and to state that he came on board when I was off Ward's Island. I should have corrected this error had I seen your paper earlier. Hoping you will give this publicity to show how insufficiently the Pilot Station is supplied.—l am, &c., F. H. Hunt, AVellington, July 29. Master.
