PHILLIPS begs to inform his • friends and the public of Wellington and the surrounding districts that he has now taken the above business solely on his own account (having previously had the entire management of the same), and respectfully solicits a continuance of the patronage and support hitherto so liberally bestowed on the establishment. After a series of experiments, involving much time and expense, G. S. P. has great pleasure in announcing that he is now enabled to supply IPax Wick Mould Candies of a superior description to any yet offered in the Colony. The Candles manufactured at the Works will be known by their bard wax-like appearance, the clear brilliant light they emit, and length of time in burning. One trial is solicited to prove the fact, G. S. P. begs to assure his friends and the public generally that no pains will be spared by him in order to give universal satisfaction to his customers. PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON. NOTICE TO IMMIGRANTS. r jpHE Provincial Government of Wellington will, iii pursuance of the Resolution of the Provincial Council, be prepared to convey to each Immigrant (introduced under their Regulations) as soon as he shall have redeemed his Promissory Note or Notes a quantity of land equal in value (at the rate’ of 10s. an acre) to one fourth of the amount of his Passage Money. For example: every Immigrant on redemption of his Promissory Note or Notes, wdl be entitled to receive ten acres of land for every Twenty Pounds he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and family. These grants of land will either be made out of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm and Agricultural Set tlements, or in the immediate vicinitv of Roacs in process of construction ; or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase as Rural. 1 In order to facilitate the location of Immigrants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of being employed’on the Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable .along or near each line of road, and will be laid off in Ten-acre Sections, which the Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their Passage Money. desirous of availing themselves of this pnvtlege In t |, e at p regent veyed in the Grey Town Settlement, are re quested to m. kc immediate application to the urn erstgued, who will give any fur[her ipf( r ination that may be required.
