After a series of experiments, involving much time and expense, G. S. P. has great pleasure in announcing that he is now enabled to supply Wax Wick Mould Candles of a superior description to any yet offered in the Colony. The Candles manufactured at the Works will be known by their hard wax-like appearance, the clear brilliant light they emit, and length of time in burning. One trial is solicited to prove the fact. G. S. P. begs to assure his friends and the public generally that no pains will be spared by him in order to give universal satisfaction to his customers. PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON. NOTICE TO IMMIGRANTS. r PHE Provincial Government of Wellington will, in pursuance of the Resolution of tlie Provincial Council, be prepared to convey to each Immigrant (introduced under their Regulations) as soon as lie shall have redeemed his Promissory Note or Notes, a quantity of land equal in value (at the rate of 10s. an acre) to one fourth of the amount of his Passage Money. For example : every Immigrant on redemption of his Promissory Note or Notes, will be entitled to receive ten acres of land for every Twenty Pounds he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and family. These grants of land will either be made out of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm and Agricultural Settlements, or in the immediate vicinity of Roads in process of construction ; or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which be shall be declared entitled out of any lands open to purchase as Rural. In order to facilitate the location of Immigrants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of being employed'on tbc D Public Works, Reserves will be made wherever practicable, along or near eacli line of road, and will be laid off in Ten-acre Sections, which tlie Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a convejance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their Passage Money.
