Provincial Secretary's Office, New Plymouth, 24th October, 1857. ’T’HE Provincial Government of New x Plymouth being desirous to erect a Bridge over the River Waiwakaiho, has caused to be prepared a Map of the River with a Section of the Bed and Banks on both sides, and also descriptive particulars of the proposed site. The Map, Section, Level, and Prospectus, containing full particulars, directions, conditions, &c., may be seen on application at the Survey Offices in New Plymouth, Auckland, and Wellington. 2k premium of Forty Pounds will be given for the most eligible design, and a premium of Twenty Pounds for the next. Colonel Mould, R.E., has consented to determine the relative merits of the various designs, and bis opinion will be acted upon in awarding the premiums.
