Auckj and Shifting. H. M. Schooner “ Pandora." —From agentleman who arrived yesterday evening from Kaipara, we learn that during the gale on Saturday last, about mid-day, H. M. Schooner Pandora, then at anchor off Omokoite in the Kaipara, parted both her anchors and was driven on shore. Much fear for her safety was entertained until Sunday at noon, when the wind changed nt high water and she was got off, having sustained no material damage.— Rew Zealander, March 10. Tbe Barque Katherine Stewart Forbes arrived yesterday evening from London via the Cape of Good Hope. She sailed from the Downs on the 2lst Oct., arrived at the Cape on the 4th January, and sailed thence the 9th of the same month. She experienced fine weather throughout until she arrived off the North Cape on Friday last, when she was caught in the heavy gale of that day, duri-g which she lost one of her hands off the fore yard. The only vessel connected with these colonies spoken by her was the Robin Hood, whaler, of Hobart Town. The passengers by the Katherine Stewart Forbes arc nearly all for this port. After discharging her cargo here, she will proceed to New Plymouth, the only other port to which she is now destined.— lbid. By accounts recently received, we learn that the ship Cr.shmere, Capt. Pearson, had completed her loading at Kaipara, for London, and was ready for sea onYY’ednesday last. She may therefore be expected here daily, and will sail for England direct in' about a week after her arrival in our harbour. She will be followed by the ship William Hyde, Capt. Applethwaite, to load in Hokianga, and sail in May next. — ibid, March 20.
