POULTRY SHOW.
WAIRARAPA POULTRY, PIGEON AND CANARY ASSOCIATION. The eighth annual show of the Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association was held at Masterton on Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, when there were close on 490 entries, ait competition in many classes was poor. Mr T. Doig, of Khandalla, judged the poultry and duck exhibits, and Mr J. F. Fitzgerald, Wellington, the pigeons and canaries. There were some good birds on view, the North Island championship for Oriental Frill pigeons being won by Mr D. Murphy, of Wellington, while the championship for Andalusians was secured by Mr R. Bailey, of Karori, with a fine specimen of a cockerel. The exhibits of poultry were good, and the judges had no' easy task in deciding the awards.
