Cabinet has ratified all arrangements Mr Alfred Hill had made regarding the Exhibition orchestra, and the thirty instrumentalists have been communicated with to that effect. It is understood the Government will sanction the general demand for a larger orchestra—one of fifty-six musicians—and in view of that much-desired contingency, Mr Hill lias communicated with several first-class players in different parts of the colonies. The Exhibition orchestra will commence re hearting at Christchurch in a fortnight’s time
