During the passage of the barque Ganymede, from Edithburg to Lyttelton, a lad named Richard Lambert, seventeen or eighteen years of age, belonging to Adelaide, was washed overboard and drowned on the morning of February 21st. A heavy westerly gale was blowing, and a boat could not be lowered.
