Dental examinations have just been concluded in Dunedin. The names of thirteen successful candidates are here given in alphabetical order, and not in order of merit:—Henry Kiver Allison (Christchurch), Moses Michael Ballin (Auckland), Edward McFarlan© Bundeli (Dunedin), Archibald Jeffrey Chrystall (Dunedin), Walter Fairclough (Dunedin), Leslie Vivian Goyen (Dunedin), William Ranwell Ingram (Invercargill), James Spence Lyons (Auckland), Sydney McPherson (Invercargill), William McKenzie (Dunedin), James Stewart Nicolson (Dunedin), James Wilson Russell (Auckland), and Wilfred Irvine Ward (Christchurch). The death is announced at Tonga of Mr W. A. McGregor, late manager of the McGregor Steamship Company, of Auckland. Deceased was well-known throughout New Zealand. He had been ill for some months (says a Press Association telegram from Auckland), and left by the Hauroto for the islands for the benefit of his health.
