Mr J. B. Box, solicitor, of Melbourne, has been appointed a County Court Judge, in succession to the late Judge Gaunt. Miss Powdrell, the champion lady tennis player, has left Pa tea for Melbourne, where she will compete in the Victorian championship meeting. In the combined doubles her partner will be Mr Lyeett, v r ith whom she competed in the New Zealand championship.
