AHAURA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very quiet wedding took place at Cronadun, Reefton, on Tuesday last, when Miflis Jane McLarry, only daughter of Mrs McLarry, was united in wedlock to Mr D- McCormack, of Oronadun. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Father Gallais. A large number of friends were entertained at the residence of the bride's mother. Mr and Mrs McCormack left by the evening train from Reefton for Greymonth. The weather round this part of the coast has been most exceptionally fine. Farmers are busy preparing their land for eeed sowing, and townspeople are getting the gardens in readiness for spring planting. It hast been proposed to start a butter factory at Murchison. The anniversary services of Knox Church, Reefton, take place on Stmday, September 17th, when special appropriate sermons will be preached by the Rev MiBarton, of Westport. On the following Wednesday the annual soiree takes place for which a splendid programme is being prepared. A football match between the grocers and drapers took place on Wednesday last on the Reefton racecourse, and resulted in a win for the former by fifteen points to seven.
