BLENHEIM, September 2. Results for the eighteenth week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition: Total for the week, 2700; average per pen for the wesk, 27f; grand total to date, 25,815; grand average per pen, 258. L. Clcuston's black Orpingtons and the Malborough Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s white Leghorns topped the list for the week Avith 35 each. Leger is still leading with a total of 500. Brooks, South Australia, is second with 465, and W. D. Draper, Blenheim, third with 385. Four hundred and fourteen eggs were collected on Friday—the greatest number yet collected for one day. The prizes for the month were won by Ashworth, and the Marlborough A. and P. Association with 151 each. Leger was leading on the 31st August with a grand total of 401.
