“SUDDEN DEATH” MOTION THREATENED. PERTH, August 23. In the Assembly Mr Daglish announced that owing to the lack of support from his own party he had resigned the Premiership. Mr Rason is forming a Ministry. The House passed Supply, and then adjourned.

PERTH, August 25. The following members comprise the new Ministry:— Premier, Treasurer, and Minister of Lands —Mr C. H. Rason.

Minister of Lands and Agriculture— Mr Moore. Minister of Public Works—Mr Wilson.

Minister of Commerce and LabourDr Hicks.

Colonial Secretary and Minister of Education —Mr Kiugsmill, M.L.O. Minister of Mines and Railways—Mr H. Gregory. Honorary Minister, Mi* M. L. Moss, M.L.C.

There is some talk of Mr Daglish, the late Premier, moving a “sudden

death” resolution when the House meets on Tuesday.

PERTH. Ahgust 25. Mr Daglish, ex-Premier, has issued a writ against tlie newspaper “ Kalgoorlie Sun ” in connection with an article charging him with alleged corruption. BRISBANE, August 25. In the Legislative Assembly, Mr Plunkett gave notice to move a resolution asking if the Government will take steps to bring about the secession of Queensland from the Commonwealth.
