' A telegram which appeared in the Melbourne papers last week stated that an old man named Joseph Nutt was found dead in his hut at Glendaruel. Deceased, who was about eighty years of age, had lived a louely and miserable life for many yearß. It was known that he was possessed of considerable means, and documents now in the hands of the police show that the sum of £2700 was standing to his credit in the batik. It is not known wVi ether deceased had made a will. He had often been advised to do so by friends, but always misinterpreted their motives. He acted as caretaker for some property at Glendartiel. It UB supposed that deceased has relative® living in Ireland.
