An interesting wedding was celebrated on Easter Monday morning in the Catholic Church, Reefton, when Miss Briuget Brazil, third daughter of Mr J. BraziJ, farmer, Buller road, was married to Mr 11. Adams, of Waitahu. After the ceremony the bridal party was driven to the residence of tiie bride's parents, where a wedding breakfast was partaken of, r i ne young couple were the recipients of' ma.u/ valuable presents. The many f riends of Mr J allies O’Malley, farmer, of Ikamatua. will hear with regret of his wife’s death, Avhicii oceuneu suddenly on Wednesday morning fast from heart disease. Mrs O'Malley auu her husband had resiued in tne Grey Valley for about forty years, and butn were highly respected. It is thought the sad news of the death of her brother, Thomas Phelon, at Blackball, may nave hastened her end. Mr Phelan, who was only thirty-eight years of age, was, it may be mentioned, well known throughout the Rjgeiton and Grey uiscncts, uuu. respected by ail with wnom ne came in contact.

The Reefton Brass Band, under the able leadership of Mr A. Sutherland, are practising most assiduously for tiie lortncoming contest at Greymoutli.
