Mrs Van Staveren has collected tlie following additional sums towards the fund for the Consumptive Hospital:— Mrs W. H. Turnbull £8 Bs, Mrs Baker £1 Is, Mrs G. Goldstein 10s Cd, Mrs Salmon 10s, Mrs W. F. Barraud 10s, Miss Eves ss. Captain White, of the steam launch Moturoa, will convey visitors on board the British warships in port to-day, leaving the ferry wharf at 1.30 p.m. A marine from one of the ships will collect the fares, which will be handed over to the fund having for its object the erection of a hospital for people suffering from consumption. Beware of the rich; the noor will do much for money ; the rich will do anything for more money.
