Mr W. E. Andrews, of Dannevirke, has decided to build an up-to-date theatre of brick in that town. The theatre is to seat a thousand people. The detailed plans have been prepared for the two motor-cars proposed to be employed by the Railway Department by way of experiment in the handling of passenger traffic. The first car will be built at Addington. It will be COft long and Bft 6in wideband will furnish accommodation for sixtylour passengers. There will be two compartments—one for smokers, the other for non-smokers. The smoking compartment will seat twenty-four passengers, and tho other forty. There will bo a place for light baggage, and wide overhead racks for packages.
