Mr Cecil W. Palmer has offered his services to instruct the Public School Cadets of Wellington in signalling, and the offer has been accepted by the Government. Mr Palmer was a member of the Ninth Contingent, and is proficient in tire Mor.-e code of signalling. Mr T. W. McDonald, president of the Htitfc Ratepayers’ Assuc-i if ion and a member of the Welling! <.n lOduca cion Board, will bo a candidate for lb ■ Liu it Mayoralty in April.
