HAVELOCK.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Another nr'shap occurred ou Brownlee and Co.'s tramline. While the men were loading log®, the trucks by some means got away from them. After travelling for about a mile, in turning a sharp bend, they Pft the rails and dashed into the Rie River. This will be a serious loss to the firm. Mr C. Sutton's sawmill on Crown Land on the northern side of the bay. was destroyed by fire yesterday. There was no insurance on the machinery or stock. Mr Station estimates his loss at about .£4OO.
Three old men from the Picton Hospital were on Wednesday brought to Havelock, and have taken up their quarters at the Cottage Hospital.. January 13th.
