The Public Works Department is calling for tenders for the construction of a bridge over the Hautapu river, on the Main Trunk line, close to the Utiku railway station. The length of the bridge is to be 142 feet; there are to be four spans of twenty feet each, and one of eighty-seven feet. The ironwork is to be made in New Zealand. The bridge is to be completed in seven months from the signing of the contract*
