LONDON, June 21. ■ • In connection with the application to ;’;the' ; Home.';.authorities- by: Mr Watson, Premier of the Commonwealth of Australia, for * the release of Lieutenant Witton, one of the Bushveldt Carbineers, : on the ground that his father was dying, the “Pall Mall Gazette” states that Mr A. Lyttelton, Secretary*of State;for the Colonies, has agreed to consider the prisoner's- release when three years of the sentence have been served.
