JERSEY BREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING.
(By Our Special Reporter.) PALMERSTON, June 21. The annual meeting of‘ the Neyr Zealand Jersey Breeders’ Association was held this afternoon. The president, -Mr J. O. Batchelar, was in the chair. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted in the return of Messrs J. O. Batchelar (Palmerston North) as president, A. Buchanan (Palmerston North) vice-president, and Jas. Stuckey (Opaki) and J’. A. Mcßae (Eangitikei) to the Council.
Inquiries were made when tae second Herd-book was likely to be issued.—The •secretary stated mat over one Hundred entries had been received, but publication -was delayed pending receipt of further particulars froin about “twenty-five members. As soon as these were to hand the book would be issued.
A discussion arose oh the question of the exhibition of animals not registered in the Herd-book. On the motion of Mr A. Buchanan, it was decided that the association does not think it advisable that owners of Jersey animals should be allowed to exhibit unless the latter are eligible for entry in the Herd-book.
