EKETAHUNA POULTRY SHOW.
Miserable weather prevailed for the omening <xf the third annual show under the auspices of Hie _ Association, last Wednesday. Hr Hogg, M.H.R., who opened the function, and Mr R. E. Bannister, the judge, spoke higii i of the exhibits. Black Orpingtons were the principal birds exhibited. In Indian game H. B. Muhro took all the prizes. The chief honours for coloured Dorkings were shared by F. D. Polling, F. u. France and T. W. Barnes. In Langsnans--A. Simpson and H. McAlay took most of the prizes. Orpington awards were Black cock (seven entries), W. Hained 1, W. I. Grigg 2; black hen (eleven entries), J.
0. Suckling 1,2 and 3; black cockerel (sixteen entries), F. C. Tumor 1 and 2; black pullet (twenty entries), F. C. Turner 1 and 2. Buff Orpingtons were poorly represented. In golden Wyandottes J. Harding W. Cotton and J. O. Suckling shared the honours. D. 17. Haines, F. J. Franco and J. 0. Suckling were the successful exhibitors in Minorcats. In wiiite Leghorns C. J. Stevens, T. W. Barnes, H. V. Fitzherbert and 11. Vile were the principal prize-takers. Other classes were fairly represented. W. Haines (Wellington), with 81 points, wins the president’s enp, F. J. France, being second with 72 points.
