In the latest number of tbe "Fortnightly” that caustic writer, "John Oliver Hobbes,” haß an interesting contribution on the state of the British drama. She does not spare the leading actors of the day, and, referring to Mr Beerbohm Tree's new school of acting, she very pertinently asks, "But who are tha teachers? I have seen no list given of suggested instructors. If the eager amateurs are to be carefully drilled in all the old tricks, I see a hitter future awaiting them.
