The death is announced from London of Sir William merchant and ship-owner. Deceased was horn at Aberdour on April 10th, 1820, and was created a knight in 1893. He had been in business in London and Aberdeen since 1850, and had held the position of President.of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce and Lord Provost of, Aberdeen.
