Mr David Scott, of PalmerstoirNorth, a former employee of the “ New Zealand Times ” Company, who was taken suddenly ill with pneumonia last week, died on Saturday morning. Deceased was only twenty-three years of age. Those who have not .vet secured copies of “The Roll of Honour, compiled by Lord Eanfurlv, we would strongly recommend to at once do so. The work is well worthy of perusal apart altogether for the worthy object for which it was com- • piled and published. The profits accuring from the publication are handed over for the benefit of the Veterans' Home, Auckland. This Institution is in need of much more support than it has hitherto received, and we would urge its claims upon the charitably inclined among our readers.
