Some members cf Williamson’s Opera Company, accompanied by some friends, visit eel the Wellington Town Hall lastweek, in order to test its acoustic properties. Several selections were sung from the platform below tho organ-loft, and both singers and auditors wore unanimous in the enthusiastic opinion that it will he one of the finest halls in Australasia for vocal performances when completed. Those who mounted to the gallery to listen stated, that the sound carried splendidly, without loss ci tone or clearness in enunciation.
