THE WAR IN THE EAST-THE RUSSIANS DRIVEN FROM THE YALU.-In the fight between the Russians and the Japanese at Chong-ju in Korea, the Russian took up a strong position on a hill, commanding the town 500yds away. The Russians were, forced to retire. Both sides lost heavily, over 100 cossackes being killed or wounded.
