M- Jean de Eeszke Is about to found a college of singing in Paris, and to call .it by his own name. The French papers bail the intelligence with delight, declaring that he. is the first living interpreter of the three lyric schools— Italian French and German. As long ago as 1875, Jean de Eeszke sang in Italian in both Paris and London the baritone parts in “Don Juan,” “Les Noces de Figaro/’ “La, Favorita” and “La .Traviata” Then he discovered his real voice was a tenor. For ten years he did little else hut study, and it is now twenty years almost to the day since the doors of grand opera opened .to one of the greatest tenors the world has over heard.
