Dalgety and Company, limited, have received a cablegram from their London office, dated Friday, stating that the directors of the company had declared an interim dividend of 2s 6d per share, being at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum, payable on 16th instant. During April, 24,9590 z of gold, valued at £92,684, was exported from New Zealand, against 29,6470 z, valued at £lll 738, for the corresponding period of 1903. Of this total, Auckland supplied £50,382 worth; Greymouth, £27,265; Hokitika, £7248; Dunedin, £3327; Westport, £3318; Nelson, £1144. During April, Auckland exported 7i1,1100z silver, to the value of £7377. A Press Association cable message from London says that Lord Plunket, who is to succeed Lord Ranfurly as Governor of New Zealand, has sailed for the colony.
