THE MONTH’S WORK

The months of April, May, and June are always the slack time with the fowls. Early matched pullets properly housed and fed maj r be depended on for tbe supply of winter and early spring eggs. Hot roach, consisting of boiled mangles, swedes, or potatoes, mixed with pollard or barley meal, and fed hot, should form the morning meal with grain thrown in for the evening or last feed. Green-cnt bone, fed three times per week, is recognised as the very best egg-prodncing food known. Feed as much as they will pick up quickly. Too much is apt to cause bowel trouble.
