(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very successful exhibition with “Rend Rook’’ was given tv Messrs J. A. Nash and Co. in Mr Scott’s paddock on the 18th. Five stumps were dealt with, the results being a clean sweep of the stumps, blowing them right out if the ground. A trial was also given on one stump with gelatine. The onlookers were pleased with the work done and the cost, as several orders were booked by Messrs Rimmer and C agents. . The ordinary monthly meeting of the Domain Board was held on the 18th. Present—Messrs J. H. Vincent (chairman). Tkos. Lowes, G. 8. Rumble. G. Searl'e and P. Hanlon. Correspondence was received from the Wesleyan Sunday School Picnic Committee, enclosing a donation of ten shillings towards the Board’s funds. His horse and trap overturned, going dpwn the horseshoe bend. Unfortunately Mr Arjidge was under the trap and received a severe concussion. Our local well-known storekeepers and builders have dissolved partnership. The storekeeping business will be carried o»i by Mr J. Graven and the building contracts will be taken up by Mr Runner.
