ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE.

THE OLD BOYS’ ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of St. Patrick’s College Old Boys’ Asoeiiatdon was held in St. Paitriclv’s Hall on the sth inst. The president, Very Rev Father Keogh, S.M. 8.A., presided. About twenty members attended. In the annual report the . committee congratulated members on the sucoessful re-establishment of the association. The membership roll comprises 145 names, representing old boys in all parts of tire colony, and some in fardistant countries. The annual cricket and football matches with the college teams were played, and in each case the association’s representatives were successful. The question of obtaining a club-room for the use of members, it was stated, bad engaged the attention of the committee, but without success, though several offers were considered. The association returned thanks to tho rector for many kindnesseis, to Mr J. J. Devine for the utee of his office for committee meetings, and to the following for donations:—Ven Archdeacon Devoy Very Rev Father Lewils, Rev Fathers Holley, G. Mahonry and Kerley, and Messrs W. A. Crombie and M. S. Grace. The finances of the association are in a satisfactory state, the year’s working showing a credit of £l4 12s 2d. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the repoyt spoke encouragingly of the prospects of the association. He said the membership had largely increased, and he had been informed that several additional names would be added to the list during the week. Interest in the association had been roused in all parts of the colony, and he thought that before many years had ©lapsed they would be in the profud position of having branches throughout New Zealand affiliated 'to the centre in Wellington. For this desirable state of affairs the association was chiefly indebted to their energetic secretary, Mr M. J. Crombie. (Applause). Office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year as follows:—President, Very Rev Father Keogh, S.M., 8.A.; vicepresidents, Messrs M. F. Bourke (Clive;. H. MoSherry (Pahiatua) and W. H. Haydon (Dunedin); hen secretary, Mr M. J. Crombie; hon. treasurer, Mr H. C. Hickson; committee Messrs W. E. Butler, A. H. Casey, D. Ryan. W. R. S. Hickson. B. J. Devine and J. Ward; hon auditor, Mr J. Madden. In thanking the meeting for his reeleotion to the presidency, the rev chairman said that he would always take a keen interest in the welfare of the association, because he recognised that it could be of great benefit to old boys when they settled o»r visited strange towns. A vote of thanks was passed y to the Catholic Young Men’s Club for the use of the hall for the meeting.
