The return of receipts and expenditures of the Wellington Corporation for December shorts receipts amounting to £17,672 6s Id, of which total rates accounted for £11.834 6s 2d, rents £1235 13s Id, water £937 Os Bd, tramways £2692.. 17s 3d. The expenditure totalled £40,252 16s 9d,' including £21,370 12s 7d on electric tramways loan account, £974 3s Id for stree-t-paving, £1517 3s 5d repairs to streets, £552; 8s lOd street-widening, £1264 Town Hall account, £8075 18s 9d interest-and sinking fund account. The bank balances at 31-st December were: —Credit balance : City improvements loan account, £3469; street loan account, £4528.
