Mr Lionel Terry writes apropos of the threatened Chinese invasion, of South Africa: —Although it is greatly to be deplored that forty-five thousand one hundred adult white males were not included in the late killing match, I heg to express the hope that New Zealand will be as ready to raise contingents to meet the Mongol on his arrival as she was to assist in securing the new sister colony. When it shall have been effectually demonstrated that South Africa is .the property of the British and not' the Chinese Empire, further purification might be effected by the extinction of the aforementioned “fortyfive thousand one hundred adult white inales.” The Transvaal Importation Association Was safe in using the term “nidies” and not “inen.” I opine that most of the late contingentdrs will recollect what kind of white creatures they are who haunt that blbbd-bought siuidow'land- *
