It is said that much of 'the gaiety of the season at Bar Harbour is due to the ■efforts of Mrs Biddle Porter of Philadelphia, who gave a series of tea.s and dinners. Her daughters are handsome and well gowned, and Mrs Porter makes a very charming and captivating hostess. HoAvever, Avhen the press made mention of Mrs Porter’s entertainments, they Avere promptly called down, and informed that it Avas Mrs “Riddle” Porter, if you please.
