While Mj John Holmes was in England ho found that the competition of Denmark, Siberia and Canada in the butter trade was steadily increasing, and that a great effort was being made to minimise New Zealand’s advantages in being able to supply fresh butter in tho ‘-off season.” Ho considers that we ara too dependent upon London operators, and says that we ought to follow tho example of Canada, which is represented in the large centres of Creat Britain by Trade Commissioners.
