MR O. P. HEGGIE

Mr O. P. 'Heggie, the young actor, who is now appearing so successfully in “A Message from Mars” ait the Opera House, is a South Australian by birth, and has from boyhood shown marked ability for the profession which he has adopted. When in his teens he won first place in the South Australian Literary Society’s elocutionary compeitition. Mr Heggie’s first appearance on the stage was with Wybert Reeve in “Stolen Kisses.” He has also played in

J. C. Williamson’s Dramatic Companies. He has been with the Hawtrey Comedy Company ever since the Company opened in Sydney more than two and a half years ago, and has played the part of the Messenger over 200 times, and hats taken other equally important poles in such plays as “Tom, Dick and Harry,” “Saiucy .Sally,” “A Highland Legacy,” “In the Soup.,” “The Lady of (Distend,” and “Little Lord Fauntleroy.” Mr Haggle's appearance is all in hils favour, with clear-cut. features, a fine stage presence and a strong and telling delivery; he possesses advantages which should bring him well to the front and assure him a great stage career.
