KING EDWARDS TOUR.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR A VISIT TO THE VATICAN. LONDON, April 25. King Edward, accompanied by the Queen of Portugal and her two sons (who have recently been touring m tlio East), has made excursions in and around Naples, receiving ovations from tho people. It is officially announced that King Edward proceeds to Rome and visits the Po pe on Wednesday afternoon. The “Daily Telegraph” states that King Edward, in consenting to the visit, refused all propositions regarding tho ceremonial to he observed except that of leaving from the Embassy. The Pope, on learning of this decision, expressed satisfaction. Heretofore the Vatican never consented to receive sovereigns leaving the residences of diplomatists accredited to the Quirinal. Other advices state that the Pope remarked that he wished to soo King Edward even if he came from the Quirinal. ROME, April 2G. King Edward lunched with the Queen of Portugal on board the Royal yacht yesterday, and attended a State performance at the opera in the evening.
