Advices received by the postal authorities on the 20th stated that the colonial mails which left Melbourne per s.s. Oceana on 16th July arrived at London on the night of the 17th inst., one day early; also that mails which left Auckland per s.s. Sierra via San Francisco on 18th July arrived in London on the afternoon of the 18th instant, two days late.
Tho warship Ringarooma arrived in port on the 20th inst., after an unsuccessful search for the missing collier Quirang. The Ringarooma left Wellington on Monday, the 11th August, and made a zig-zag course along the track whore it was surmised there mi edit be signs of the overdue steamer. ° A vigilant look-out was maintained night and day.
