IMPORTATION OF EGGS IN ENGLAND

The following extracts from the “ l eathered World” will give an idea of the vastness of the poultry trade in the Old \\ orld. Russia alone exported to England eggs representing over three millions of money, about half the value of our "old product for the year, yet the industry is not considered worth troubling about, vs Lilst in the other millions of money are invested.

The number of eggs exported from Russia to England in 1900 was 1,780,000000, representing 31,552,000 roubles (■£3,321,263).
