The “ New Zealand Times ” Company’s brancli office at Palmerston North was opened on the 22nd inst. for tho trans-’ action ‘of business connected with thev. “Now Zealand Times” and the “New Zealand Mail.” The office, which is located in Preece’s buildings, The Square, will be found central and convenient for townspeople, as well as for visitors from the country. Mr Charles, Cuming, of the literary staff of these journals, who has been sent to open the office, will act as correspondent in the matter of local news, and will also give special attention to-the subject of dairy farming and the allied rural industries. In addition, Mr Cuming will bo prepared to receive orders for advertising, subscriptions to tho “Times” and “Mail” and general printing orders, and to transact other business on behalf of the company
