EDUCATION BOARD
The Wellington Education Boa to met on the 27th. The bank account showed : —Maintenance, dr., £2687 17s 56; buildings, cr. £455 14s lid: contract liabilities’ £613 5.5. Payments were authorised on behalf of maintenance, £3728 13s 7 C ] and buildings, £66 14s 3d. The following resignations were accepted :—Vara P. Cowles, assistant, Shannon: Agnes C. Telford, pupil teacher, Park Vale; Andrew Everiss, head teacher, Kereru; Thomas Campbell, pupil teacher, Te Aro Infants’; Millicent A. Brown, pupil teacher. Dalefield. Miss Annie Davies, assistant, Thorndon, was granted leave for March. Mrs Turkington was appointed sewing teacher at Cross’s Creek. The chairman was empowered to act hi regard to the claim cf the Johnsonville School for technical education.
