ARTISTIC COIFFURES

Among the pretty ornaments that are new being worn in-the hair, flowers falling in garlands even upon the shoulders, and^diamonds stuck into the twisted tresses just where they are wanted, are new and lovely. A correspondent says: —I have even seen a large lump of turquoise set ‘in a rirn of diamonds hung on one of those flexible wire combs worn with good effect. .. It reminded me of a classical coiffure ; but, trembling as it did so loosely, I was afraid it would he lost; though, of course, it was very effectually secured. Dyeing has gone completely out of fashion. While fringes are accounted far from the dernier cri, little curls are allowed to meander at will upon the temples and in the nape of the neck, in -which lowly position they are new and excessively fascinating. For the rest inß side-part-ing has a most distinguished appearance upon many heads, and a. row of big curls like a Greek sculptured coiffure furnishes other foreheads in the most correct manner.
